Warrenton is located in the northern region of the Commonwealth of Virginia and is about a forty-five minute drive to Washington, D.C. and a thirty-five minute drive to Dulles airport. It is known for its quality of life and scenic beauty and received many awards for managing growth in a way that protects its rich heritage, unique architectural features and open spaces. It received the coveted Preserve America Community Award from First Lady Laura Bush. Old Town Warrenton was recently named one of the Prettiest Painted Places in America.
