To the American Bahá’í community for the Feast of Qudrat
Dearest Bahá’í Friends,
Just three weeks ago, the opening of the Mother Temple of South America in Santiago, Chile―the last great continental Mashriqu’l-Adhkár―captured the attention of Bahá’ís and their friends across the globe. Some 5,000 believers from 110 nations participated in a dedication program that spanned three days and proudly featured a cross-section of the rich diversity of the peoples and cultures of the Americas. They were joined by notable guests―among them civic leaders and prominent members of various faith communities, many of whom expressed appreciation and gratitude for the beautiful new edifice and the universal principles that inspired its creation.
The Universal House of Justice addressed a special message to those gathered for the occasion, which is attached for your convenience and which we commend to your collective study at this Feast. You will find its contents highly relevant to our current efforts to advance the growth of the Faith in the United States and will surely take from it fresh inspiration and resolve.
Be assured of our prayers that, in accordance with the Blessed Beauty’s unerring wisdom, the day may be hastened when, as a result of your sacrificial efforts, “the blessing of a Mashriqu’l-Adhkár will be conferred upon every city and village” in this country.
With loving Bahá’í greetings, NATIONAL SPIRITUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE BAHÁ’ÍS OF THE UNITED STATES Kenneth E. Bowers Secretary Attachment
