Taste of the Mountains: 2016

Taste of the Mountains is a Festival set-up for those involved, living in, or having businesses in Madison County VA to gather together and enjoy being, just being. The Blueridge Bahá’í Cluster had the wonderful opportunity of being present this year at the Taste of the Mountains on a wonderful day this past weekend (the first weekend in September). We were able to set up a booth and charts, manage and hand out pamphlets and bookmarks, business cards and stickers to those interested stopper-bys in attendance. So much so that we ran out of everything but pamphlets!
Having just had a wonderful response at a similar event in Warrenton VA (First Friday) we were on an inspired enjoyment of Madison County's Festival. We were also able to tell how long some of the participants were at the Festival... they were some of the only ones with the 'No Room In My Heart For Prejudice' stickers, of which we ran out first thing!
But that only encouraged us! We had a wonderful time talking with passers by, feeding left over dog treats to those who brought their four legged friends (providing water too), and generally talking about World Peace, World Unity, and World Equality. Our World Citizen stickers were the conversation starters we had hoped they would be. This wonderful event was a topper to three consecutive days of promoting peace and unity. We look forward to what the weeks will bring...  Oh look a Conversation Training Seminar, Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program session Monday. Yes please!
